James R. McNutt, ACNP-BC

James McNutt is a board-certified Acute Care/Critical Care Nurse Practitioner.  James earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from Oakland University, MI and a Bachelor’s of Science/Chemistry from Michigan State University.  In 2010 he earned his Masters of Science in Nursing/Acute Care Nurse Practitioner and a Post-Master’s Degree in Nursing Education from Wayne State University in Detroit, MI.  He has been practicing in Pulmonary/Critical Care and Sleep medicine since 2011.  Additionally, James has a passion for the education of future generations of Nurse Practitioners and has served as adjunct faculty for Wayne State, South and Oakland Universities.  In 2022, he was named as one of the “Nurse Practitioner Preceptors of the Year” by the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. He moved from the Metro-Detroit Area to Clearwater along with his family to join Bay Area Chest Physicians in 2024.
